For councils: help with CHC disputes
If you work in a council CHC team, you'll know the problem. The ICB turns down someone the council funds, the council keeps paying, and somebody has to go back through hundreds of pages of care notes to build the case for a dispute. That takes days you probably don't have.
We can do that part. You send us the case and we read the assessment and the records. For each of the 12 Decision Support Tool domains we write down the level given, the level we think the records support, and the dated entries that back it up, with page numbers. You get it back as a short written case your team can use in the dispute, usually within 5 working days. Where the evidence for a domain is thin, we'll say so and tell you what else to ask for.
How it's done
The first draft is written with AI, because reading 300 pages of daily notes is the kind of job it's good at. A person then checks every write-up against the records and the national guidance, and finalises it before it goes to you.
Records and data protection
Records come through a secure upload link, under a data sharing agreement (yours if you have one, or ours). They're kept in the UK, used for that case only, and deleted within 30 days of delivery unless you ask us to keep them. We'll be registered with the Information Commissioner's Office before any records reach us.
Cost
We agree a fixed price per case before we start, and the first case is free. Try it on one you're stuck on and see if it helps.
If you want the background, the figures for every NHS area are on our approval rates page. They vary more than you'd expect: from July 2025 to June 2026 the NHS in Gloucestershire approved 5.0% of full assessments, against 43.1% at the other end of the table.
To try it, email mak@kegsoid.co.uk. We'll send a short outline and a sample write-up on a made-up case, then set up the agreement and a secure link.
